Catch the Lost Wisp
Kai’s scroll library swaps pages without reloading, removes bookmarks in place and opens a Filters drawer. Each time, the element that had focus disappears and the Lost Wisp drops focus onto <body>. Feel what a keyboard and screen reader user gets, choose where focus should go in each case, then prove that a keyboard-only round never lands on the body.

1 · Feel the silence
Do three things in Kai’s app with the keyboard, the way a screen reader user would. Watch where focus goes and listen to what is announced.
2 · Move focus on purpose
For each case, pick the code that puts focus somewhere useful. Wrong picks explain what the traveller would get.
3 · The keyboard-only round
Kai’s code and yours face the same traveller: Next chapter, remove the second bookmark, then open and close Filters, with the live expression watching every step.
New seal earned
The Lost Wisp has nothing left to steal
Acharya’s Rule #14Never let focus fall to the body. Move it on purpose.
When the focused element leaves the page, focus falls to <body> and a screen reader announces nothing.
After a route change, update document.title and focus the new h1 with tabindex="-1".
Focus the next row after a delete, keep the page inert behind a drawer, and return focus to the opener on close.
